History
With a long family history in construction and real estate dating from 1900 our roots in the industry provide a broad background of experience for our current business. Our commercial property ownership in Wilton dates from 1944. Leland R. Wilson, with forty years of real estate experience, is the latest generation to carry on the family business rooted in four generations of Wilson’s starting with his great grandfather, Sylvester B. Wilson whose business was based in Norwalk, CT.

Market Position
We are long term owners, Wilson Properties, LLC, has developed, owns, leases, and manages six commercial buildings all located in Wilton CT. Our tenant base is comprised of well established office, retail, commercial and professional tenants. Our buildings range in size from 3,300 Sq. Ft. to 35,000 Sq. Ft. and are located in the Route Seven corridor and in Wilton Center. Our latest property acquisition took place in 2006.

Operations
We work hard to maintain quality landlord tenant relationships. Our property management reflects the belief that buildings well maintained will be well tenanted over the long term. We strive to employ the best property management practices in the industry and are proactive in identifying and dealing with maintenance issues. We are sensitive to the environment, pursuing the most energy efficient methods available. We are recognized experts in lease negotiation and our leases are plain language agreements tailored to the size, term, and complexity of the transaction with quick turn-a-round time.

Community
We are long time supporters of Wilton community organizations, institutions and activities. Mr. Wilson has served on the board of directors of the Wilton Bank for the past twenty-four years and was chairman of the bank’s Audit Committee for eighteen years; he also served four years on Wilton’s Board of Finance. He served three terms as president and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Wilton Historical Society where he continues to contribute actively to further the mission of the Society. He has also served as president of several real estate organizations over his career at the local and state level having been recognized for his innovations and leadership.
